The 3-element rule

What measurably raises CTR
- Faces with strong emotion — surprise, joy, shock. Human brains can't ignore faces; eyes looking AT the viewer or AT the object of the video both work.
- Text that adds, not repeats. The title says what; the thumbnail text teases why ("I was wrong", "بـ ١٠٠ جنيه بس"). 3–5 words max, thick font, contrast outline.
- Color separation from YouTube itself — the app is white/black/red, so yellow, cyan and green thumbnails pop in the feed.
- Consistency — a recognizable style makes returning viewers click "your" look in a crowded feed.
Arabic-content notes
Arabic display text needs MORE size than Latin to stay readable at small sizes — bold geometric Arabic fonts, short words, and never thin calligraphy at thumbnail scale. For bilingual channels, pick one language per thumbnail; mixing both shrinks each below readability.
